Endurance racing returns to the world’s least predictable circuit

Renowned as one of the world’s toughest, most treacherous circuits, the Six Hours of Spa-Francorchamps is a test of man and machine pushed to the absolute limit.

Prototype and GT cars will share the hallowed tarmac of the legendary circuit that first hosted an endurance race back in 1924. The machinery and track layout may look a lot in modern times, but the skill and bravery required to master a race around the tricky turns at Spa remain high.

In 2023, the circuit will welcome a grid full of legendary names as Ferrari, Cadillac, Porsche and Peugeot join Toyota and Jota in the top class of Hypercar racers. A competitive field of LMP2 and GT cars will follow as the drivers battle through the likes of the awesome La Source, Eau Rouge, and Pouhon corners.

Spa’s reputation comes with its unpredictability. The sheer breadth of the circuit and micro-climate within the Ardennes Forest means torrential rain could pour in one section of the track, while it is bone dry further along the lap. This was certainly true in 2019 when the drivers were faced with a flurry of snow… in May! Fans should attend the race fully prepared but will be rewarded with a weekend of incredible racing.

While the circuit is remote in the Wallonia region of Belgium, there are a number of great accommodation options to choose from. Motorsport Travel Destinations offers camping at the Eau Rouge campsite nearby, or a more premium stay in self-contained chalets at the nearby Val D’Arimont hotel.

Be sure to explore the Six Hour of Spa ticket and accommodation options before booking what's right for you with Motorsport travel Destinations.
