Witness the opening round of the new NASCAR season in Florida

One of North America’s most exciting racing series kicks off its new season in traditional fashion with the prestigious Daytona 500 in Florida. The eyes of the United States will turn to Daytona Beach for the opening round of the new season as over 40 competitors take to the iconic banked oval of the Daytona International Speedway.

Run annually since 1959 and considered the “birthplace of stock car racing”, the event has a rich history and unique culture of its own. A short drive from the famous Daytona Beach, and nestled next to the International Airport, both domestic and international fans flock to the race for the highlight of the year. Concerts, autograph sessions, and historic racing displays keep fans entertained before the grid of NASCAR racers roar into action.

This flat-out superspeedway has produced brilliant races throughout the years, with plenty of overtaking and action across the course of the race. The 2.5-mile circuit features four turns and impressive banking of up to 31°. The track is surrounded by enormous grandstands holding up to 123,000 fans, with a further 40,000 capacity in the in-field.
