Explore the 2026 Le Mans 24h teams and drivers, featuring top stars, new entries, and returning champions across Hypercar, LMP2, and LMGT3.

After Ferrari’s back-to-back triumphs in 2023 and 2024, the 2025 race brought even more drama as the #83 AF Corse entry extended the marque’s winning streak at Le Mans.

Driven by Phil Hanson, Yifei Ye and former F1 driver Robert Kubica, the #83 AF Corse became the first customer team to win Le Mans outright since Champion Racing triumphed in 2005.

Now, attention turns to the 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans this June – Round 3 of the 2026 WEC season. A new South Korean manufacturer steps onto the world stage, proven winners return with upgraded machinery, and a two-time overall Le Mans champion is back at the wheel with his own team. Will the established powers respond, or is a shake-up on the horizon?

In this blog, we take a closer look at the full 2026 Le Mans entry list, breaking down the key teams, drivers, and storylines to watch across every class.

HYPERCAR CLASS

The Hypercar category continues to deliver spine-tingling racing, with close finishes and multiple cars on the lead lap now the norm. An 18-car field lines up this year, packed with factory entries from world-renowned manufacturers including Alpine, Aston Martin, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Genesis, Peugeot and Toyota.

Ferrari head into the race chasing a historic fourth consecutive victory at Le Mans since returning to the top class in 2023. The Prancing Horse will field three 499P entries, all with familiar battle-hardened line-ups. The #50 (winner in 2024) features Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina and Nicklas Nielsen. The #51 (victor in 2023) lines up reigning WEC champions Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi. The #83 AF Corse car, which took the most recent 2025 Le Mans win, returns with Yifei Ye, Robert Kubica and Phil Hanson. With three wins already under their belt and strong recent form in the WEC, Ferrari will be the team to beat once again.

Genesis make their highly anticipated Hypercar debut and mean business right away. The South Korean manufacturer’s premium brand enters two brand-new GMR-001 cars via Genesis Magma Racing. The #17 will be driven by three-time Le Mans winner André Lotterer (victories in 2011, 2012 and 2014), teamed with endurance stalwart Luis Felipe “Pipo” Derani and promising young French talent Mathys Jaubert. The sister #19 features Paul-Loup Chatin, Mathieu Jaminet and Daniel Juncadella, who between them bring 17 Le Mans starts. This is no toe-in-the-water entry – Genesis are not to be uderestimated.

Elsewhere, Toyota return with the heavily reworked GR010 Hybrid, the same platform that delivered outright wins in 2021 and 2022. Four-time winner Sébastien Buemi and three-time winner Brendon Hartley lead the charge once again in the #8, hungry to end Ferrari’s recent dominance and add to Toyota’s Le Mans tally.

Other strong contenders include:

  • Cadillac fielding multiple V-Series.R entries, with familiar faces like the Hertz Team Jota cars and IMSA-linked squads.
  • Peugeot TotalEnergies, where 2023 F2 champion Théo Pourchaire joins the lineup.
  • Alpine Endurance Team, featuring 2022 F3 champion Victor Martins in one of the A424s.
  • Returning programmes from Aston Martin (Valkyrie showing strong progress) and BMW (M Hybrid V8 in its third campaign).

The mix of Ferrari’s winning streak, the fresh Genesis challenge, and established factory squads sets up what could be one of the most open and fiercely contested Hypercar battles in recent years.

LMP2 CLASS

The fans’ favourite LMP2 class is back with a highly competitive 19-car grid, promising the same unbearable suspense that saw the top nine cars covered by just three laps last year. Seasoned endurance racers mix with emerging talents once again. Stand-out storylines include:

  • RD Limited, a brand-new team recently formed by Romain Dumas – two-time overall Le Mans winner (2010 with Audi, 2016 with Porsche). Dumas himself is back in the cockpit for the first time since 2023, sharing duties in the #48 Oreca 07-Gibson.
  • Doriane Pin (the “Pocket Rocket”) returns after her impressive 2023 debut. Fresh from F1 Academy success and her new role as Mercedes-AMG F1 development driver, she lines up with Duqueine Team.
  • Lilou Wadoux makes her fourth Le Mans appearance and has extended her Ferrari factory contract – always a popular name with fans.
  • Other proven contenders include Panis Racing (strong ELMS performers), Inter Europol Competition (two Le Mans class wins since 2023), AO by TF with quick Swiss driver Louis Delétraz, plus familiar faces like Jakub Śmiechowski, François Perrodo and names with famous racing heritage such as Pietro Fittipaldi and Enzo Trulli.

LMGT3 CLASS

Now in its third season, the LMGT3 category remains one of the most unpredictable and entertaining parts of the weekend, with nine different manufacturers represented. Last year delivered six different winners across eight championship rounds and the top four cars finishing on the same lap – more of the same palpitating chases are guaranteed. Key entries grabbing attention include:

  • Akkodis ASP Team #87 Lexus with 2021 Le Mans winner José María López.
  • The Bend Manthey #92 Porsche, where veteran Richard Lietz makes his 20th start at La Sarthe.
  • Proton Competition fielding former F1 driver Logan Sargeant – excellent preparation as the Ford Hypercar programme approaches.

With a capacity grid battling wheel-to-wheel through the night, the GT3 fights will once again deliver some of the weekend’s most memorable moments.
