The annual Goodwood Revival takes place at Goodwood Circuit, the historic racing circuit located in West Sussex, England. Considered as the greatest historic motor race meeting and the only sporting event of its kind, it is staged entirely in period theme and offers a great experience even for non-motorsport lovers.
Taking place between 8-10 September 2023, it is a celebration of the “golden era” of motorsports, specifically the period between 1948 and 1966. The most revered is the Royal Automobile Club TT Celebration race at Goodwood Revival is a recreation of the famous Tourist Trophy race that took place at Goodwood in the 1950s and 1960s. This race features some of the most iconic race cars from that era and is widely considered one of the most thrilling and competitive races of the weekend. Some of the well-known brands that can be seen on the track include Ferrari, Jaguar, Aston Martin and Maserati.
The race car paddock is packed full of the cars taking to the track across the weekend and is open to all. Allowing all visitors to get up close to the historic cars, and their teams, drivers and owners alike, and providing an opportunity to take pictures and to talk to those involved in keeping these historic vehicles operational for all to enjoy.
One of the unique aspects of Goodwood Revival is the focus on period-correct dressing. Everywhere you look, you will find people dressed in period-correct clothing, with men in tweed suits and women in vintage dresses. The event organizers even have a “best dressed” competition which takes place over the weekend and the winner is awarded with a special prize.
