The Goodwood Revival is a three-day event that takes place annually at Goodwood Circuit, a historic racing circuit in West Sussex, England. The event is a celebration of the “golden era” of motorsports, specifically the period between 1948 and 1966.

The Goodwood Revival is taking place between 8-10 September 2023 and offers a wide range of activities for attendees to enjoy. The 2023 timetable is yet to be released, but there is constant track action across all three days. Below we’ve taken a look back at 2022 to give you an good idea of what can expect to happen across the three days in 2023.

Whether attending for one, two or three days, there is a chance to see vehicles, drivers, and celebrities in action, and a chance to share in the romance and the glamour of motor racing as it used to be.

The fun also doesn’t stop when the racing is over. Over the Road which is quite literally over the road, opens from 7:30am and runs until 10pm every night – offering an array of festivities, including a Fairground, the Revival Car Show, and the Revival Cinema presented by Sky Cinema.

Friday
Gates open from 7:30am. First air displays start at 8:30am, with on-track action starting from 9am and coming to close after the only official race of the day – the Freddie March Memorial Trophy at 7pm.

Friday morning is a great opportunity to explore the paddocks. Outside of the Freddie March Memorial Trophy all other races don’t start until Saturday, so Friday can be a great opportunity to get up close to the historic race cars that will be competing in the various races over the weekend. Included in this will be an opportunity to meet the drivers and teams and take photos with the cars.

Additionally, there are several parades and demonstrations throughout the day featuring historic cars, motorcycles and aircraft, and a variety of classic movies being screened at the Revival Cinema, including The Italian Job and Grease.

Saturday
Gates open from 7:30am. First air displays start at 8:30am, with on-track action starting from 9am, with all action coming to close at 6pm.

Saturday of the Goodwood Revival is all about the racing action. The final practice sessions, a parade and an air display all take place before racing starts at 10am. The main event of Saturday is the Whitsun Trophy race which is a recreation of the famous Tourist Trophy race that took place at Goodwood in the 1950s and 1960s. The race features some of the most iconic race cars from that era and is widely considered one of the most thrilling and competitive races of the weekend.
